If you're looking for a high quality, fresh from the butcher kind of steak then this is the spot. My filet was cooked to medium rare perfection and the sides (green beans, carrots, and mushrooms) were equally delicious. Awesome ambience with the outdoor seating and open air kitchen inside. It may get a bit warm in the summer inside with the open kitchen but it's worth it for the open air feel. They also have a nice fire pit surrounded by chairs and couches outside with music playing which makes for a perfect date night. The owner stopped by our table to make sure everything was top notch and I had nothing but praises for him 100% will be dining at the Farmer Butcher Chef again.

A full review to consider: Fantastic from start to finish! My fiancé and I don't travel often but when we do, we always try to find great "hidden gems" and this is definitely it! Ambiance: When we arrived, the atmosphere was approachable for casual dress but cozy and refined enough that I would consider taking her on a fancier "date night" outing. Candles (artificial but classy) flickered at every table and the background music playing was just the right level for conversation or to listen to while we ate. Service: Our server was accommodating, helpful, and punctual. We never felt forgotten about yet were not hounded over what else we could be helped with. That being said, we were approached by other staff (one who I assume was the manager) who clearly treat each customer with the highest level of care and hospitality we have rarely experienced even at our most pleasant dining experiences. Food: The menu was moderate but packed with dishes that you would be hard pressed it find in any "ordinary" restaurant. We ordered the Pierogi's as an appetizer (we are from families who have made them homemade for centuries) and were truly impressed with how such a familiar dish was elevated. My fiancé got the Half Rack Rosemary BBQ spare ribs ($24) and I the Lamb Chops ($39). Admittedly I was skeptical about the prices; coming from an area where such dishes get you a lackluster, fatty rib and 4 lamb chops. To my AMAZEMENT, the portions were not just filling, they were huge! The meatiest and tastiest rib my fiancé had ever had (ALL FALL-OFF-THE-BONE MEAT, NO FAT!) and TEN lamb chops cooked to perfection ($4 per sizable chop!). The portions were so huge that we took half of our entrees to go, feeling STUFFED, and were already excited to eat more tomorrow. As sides, we both got Brown Sugar Carrots (which weren't too sweet but flavorful in all the right ways), garlic butter mashed potatoes (with an abundance of garlic flavor but in balance with the potatoes), and asparagus spears which were juicy and large. Overall, the only thing that disappointed us about this experience was what only 6 tables were in use this evening when the place should be full with what it offers: a truly elevated "farm to table" dining experience worth experiencing before the secret is out! We will be getting married next year and have already resolved we will be back with our entire bridal party!

I really liked this place. We had reservations for a Saturday at 5:30. I would NOT bring children here as the service is probably way too slow for kids. I'm not saying kids aren't welcome (there were young kids here) but mine would have not had patience for the pace of the service. We had a large group of 14+ so that could have slowed service down but not didn't matter much as we were all chatting and not in a rush. I didn't mind the pace of the service at all. The menu options were plentiful and diverse (steaks, chicken, pasta, salmon, ribs, shrimp & grits). We opted for meats + family style of the sides. This place did not disappoint!! Everything was wonderful! Everyone in our party enjoyed their entree and sides and plenty left with to go boxes. The portions are huge (remember George's Dinner Bell in Painesville?!) The food came out hot. It was fresh. It was filling. It was well seasoned and served. Alcohol selection was straightforward and desserts were monstrous also! We will be back. You may want to skip lunch if you plan on having dinner here! Servers were friendly and attentive.

I was working in the Geneva area and looking for an interesting place for dinner in the winter and there were not a lot of options. Yelp came through when this place turned up! It is a bit rustic, basic and open but not in a bad way. Their emphasis is on quality food rhatnis prepared well and the totally deliver! I got a half rack of ribs and crab cakes. They ribs were cooked to perfection. They walk the fine line between making them fall off the bone tender, but still get a good bark on them. Not many places seem to do do this as well. The garlic mashed potatoes were fantastic as well. It changed hands a couple years ago, so be sure to look at the more recent menu pictures, or go to their Facebook page for current menu.

Great place to be invited for a dinner date while visiting the city on business. The decor is rustic and the vibe is laid back. The customer service here is top-notch and you can see they developed into a "family". Mistakes were made with a few of the orders, at our table, but the owner did his best to correct the orders as well as offer substitutions for the items that they ran out of. All the dishes were flavorful and well presented. Tip: Currently BYOB but they have ice buckets and various types of service glasses to enjoy your libation.

We had eaten here after visiting the old Seven Brothers distillery a couple years ago and really liked it. We had a special celebration planned last Friday so we booked a 6pm reservation. Upon arrival we found the former manager was now the owner. We found a secluded private table in "the bar" (they are currently BYO until they secure a new liquor license). The atmosphere was great. Among our party of 6 we ordered steaks, pork chops, salmon, and burgers. All were outstanding. Our server Dillion was friendly and attentive even though he was only in high school. Our celebration was great. We will DEFINITELY be back!
